Infiniti M56
The nameplate “M” has been utilized on different medium sized luxury vehicles developed by Nissan. The 1st generation vehicle was introduced in the form of coupe and convertible.

Prologue
The latest M design has been influenced by the Infiniti concept car. It has more organic appearance that is similar to Maserati and Jaguar. For the first time, the 2011 edition was introduced at the Los Angeles automobile show, whereas the production version was introduced in 2010 spring.

For the first time, the model was marketed on 1st March 2010. Currently, the 2011 model is in its third generation and was introduced to compete with Audi A6, Hyundai Genesis, Cadillac STS, Jaguar XF, Lincoln MKS, Mercedes-Benz E-Class, BMW 5 Series, Acura RL, and Lexus GS.
New M56-Geneva Auto Show
The new M 56 is inspired by the Essence concept, which was revealed at Geneva International Motor Show held in 2009. M 56 is Infiniti’s 5-seat flagship sport sedan. It is also available in 2 iterations.
M37 features 3.7-L V-6-engine, while M56 features 5.6-liter V-8 engine. M56 competes with BMW 5 Series, Jaguar XF, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class. Enthusiasts like the impressive technology, performance potential, reliability reputation, and user-friendly nav system.

Design
All models of this vehicle have been installed with a standard driving mode selector knob, which is placed under the gearbox lever and among the ventilated and heated seat controls, offering 4 different selections- “Snow“, “Eco“, “Sport“, and “Standard“, permitting the manual seven-speed gearbox, power-plant and different systems to enhance driving depending on different conditions.

To reduce exhaust noise interference into the interior from the power-plant at slow RPMs, “Active Noise Control” is outfitted. The shock absorbers called double-piston, designed by Kayaba Industry Company, have substituted the previously provided ones by Hitachi.
Coming to mechanical design, M56 is outfitted with a 5.6 liter V8 engine, which is connected to a 7-speed manual transmission.
Safety
Considering the safety technology, M56 is available with a Lane Departure Prevention system that makes use of a small sized camera installed on the rearview mirror to measure distance from different vehicles, and will tap the brakes smoothly whenever the driver needs more help to control the vehicle smoothly.

The system will allow for unconstrained lane modifications whenever the turn signal is in use, and will get control over the driver at any situations.
The Blind Spot Intervention System is one of the advanced safety systems that make use of sensors to display usual information in the view mirror installed at the side of the vehicle. When the vehicle senses that it is progressing towards the obstruction, it will give out a warning sound and will release brakes to control the vehicle to move on to the correct lane.
